Terms of Service

Last updated: 9 August 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Skolox — the School Operations & Finance Platform — including our website at https://skolox.com/, our application at https://app.skolox.com/, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

By creating an account (Register), signing in (Login), creating a school (Create school), or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you accept on behalf of a school or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

1. Definitions

  • “You” / “Customer” — the person or organization that registers for Skolox and/or operates a school on the platform.
  • “School” — an institute, academy, tuition center, or educational organization created and managed in Skolox.
  • “User” — anyone with access to a Skolox account or a school workspace (owner, staff, portal users).
  • “Content” — data, text, files, and materials you or your users submit to the Service.
  • “Plans” — subscription tiers (including the FREE Forever plan and paid plans) with limits and features described on our website and in your account.

2. Eligibility and account registration

  • You must provide accurate, current information when registering and keep it updated.
  • The Skolox account and school should be created using the school owner’s email address, unless we explicitly allow otherwise. The owner receives default control over critical school settings.
  • You may designate a separate billing contact for subscription and payments while the owner retains ownership of the school account.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your credentials and for inviting users only with appropriate permissions.
  • You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction.

3. The Service

Skolox provides tools for admissions, enrollment, student information, attendance, fees, invoicing, accounting, staff management, portals, notifications, documents, and related school operations. Features vary by plan. We may add, change, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practical.

The Service is provided on a cloud basis. You are responsible for your internet connection, devices, and internal policies for how your school uses Skolox.

4. FREE Forever and paid plans

  • New schools may receive a FREE Forever plan with defined limits (for example, student capacity and feature access) as described on https://skolox.com/.
  • There is no credit card required for the free plan where offered; free access continues while you remain within plan limits and comply with these Terms.
  • Paid plans provide higher limits and additional features. Pricing, limits, and inclusions are shown on our website and at Manage subscription.
  • Promotional offers (for example, Early Birds discounts using a code such as EARLYBIRD) apply only as stated on the offer page and at checkout.

5. Subscriptions, billing, and payment

  • Paid subscriptions are billed according to the plan and billing cycle you select.
  • Unless we state otherwise, paid subscriptions are currently processed through manual payment in PKR following instructions shown during checkout. Online card payments or third-party gateways may not be available in all regions.
  • You agree to pay all fees due for your selected plan. Orders and payment status may be viewed at Manage orders.
  • Our team may verify payment proof before activating or extending a paid subscription.
  • Taxes, if applicable, are your responsibility unless we state we collect them.
  • Failure to pay may result in downgrade, suspension of paid features, or limitation to free-tier capacity, subject to our Refund & Cancellation Policy and reasonable notice where appropriate.

6. Upgrades, downgrades, and plan limits

  • You may upgrade or change plans when your school needs more capacity or features, via billing plans or as directed in the app.
  • If you downgrade, you must remain within the limits and feature set of the new plan. You are responsible for adjusting usage (for example, student count, enabled modules) before or after downgrade.
  • We may enforce plan limits (students, staff, storage, transactions, messaging quotas, etc.) automatically or through administrative action.

7. Your content and responsibilities

  • You retain ownership of Content you submit. You grant Skolox a limited license to host, process, back up, and display Content solely to provide and improve the Service.
  • You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of Content, including student, financial, and staff records.
  • You must comply with applicable laws (education, privacy, employment, tax, anti-spam, etc.) and obtain necessary consents from parents, staff, and others.
  • You must not use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes, including unauthorized access, malware, harassment, or infringement of others’ rights.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code except where law permits.
  • Interfere with security, performance, or other customers’ use of the Service.
  • Share accounts in a way that bypasses role-based access or plan limits.
  • Use automated scraping or bulk extraction outside permitted APIs or export features.
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with a school.

We may investigate violations and suspend or terminate access to protect the Service and other users.

9. Role-based access and school administration

Skolox uses permissions so users see only what their role allows. The school owner and authorized administrators control user access, approvals, and sensitive areas (including financial data). Skolox is not responsible for internal misuse of credentials or permissions configured by your school.

10. Intellectual property

Skolox, its logos, software, documentation, and marketing materials are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or brand except as needed to use the Service in accordance with our branding guidelines. Feedback you provide may be used by us without obligation to you.

11. Third-party services

The Service may integrate with or link to third-party services (for example, email delivery, messaging providers, social sign-in). Your use of those services is subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.

12. Support and help

Support is available during published working hours for general and billing assistance:

Self-service setup (account verification, school creation, setup wizard) is designed so you can start without a mandatory sales demo. Optional demos and videos may be offered separately.

13. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.

14. Availability and modifications

We strive for reliable uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, updates, or events beyond our control may cause temporary unavailability. We may modify the Service or these Terms; material changes will be posted on our website or notified through the Service. Continued use after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

15. Termination

  • You may stop using the Service at any time. Closing an account or school may be subject to in-app steps and data export windows where available.
  • We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay applicable fees, pose a security risk, or as required by law.
  • Upon termination, your right to access the Service ends. Provisions that by nature should survive (fees owed, disclaimers, limitations, dispute terms) will survive.

16. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. SKOLOX IS A SOFTWARE PLATFORM; WE DO NOT PROVIDE LEGAL, ACCOUNTING, OR EDUCATION REGULATORY ADVICE. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR SCHOOL’S COMPLIANCE AND FINANCIAL DECISIONS.

17. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SKOLOX AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO SKOLOX FOR THE SERVICE IN THAT PERIOD (OR, IF YOU USE ONLY THE FREE PLAN, ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD 100) OR THE MINIMUM AMOUNT REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW).

18. Indemnification

You will defend and indemnify Skolox against claims arising from your Content, your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or violation of applicable law, except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.

19. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Skolox’s place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country apply. Disputes should first be raised with [email protected]. If unresolved, disputes will be handled in the courts or forums specified by applicable law unless we agree otherwise in writing.

20. General

  • These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy, form the agreement between you and Skolox regarding the Service.
  • If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect.
  • Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
  • You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign in connection with a business transfer.
